1931 Ford Rat Rod

This Rat Rod is reminds me of a good steak. It’s “RARE” and “WELL-DONE”.

Details About This Rod:

Exterior- All steel 1931 Ford Tudor Sedan body. Top has been chopped 4″. Original cloth top has been replaced with a filled and ribbed roof. Removable steel hood. Fiberglass ‘32 nose with custom mesh grille.

This is not a spray can primer job.

The body was refinished in a paint booth. 30* black was applied, then wet sanded and massaged to create an old school patina. Steel wheels were stripped and repainted. Vintage M&H Racemasters on the rear-8×7.60×15. No Lexan- excellent glass all around. All side windows roll up and down properly. Opening front windshield.

Interior- Brand new white rolled and pleated padded vinyl interior. Comfortable seating for four full size adults. Front seat has movable seat back for easy access to rear seat passengers. Seats, headliner, door panels, etc all new. Custom stainless dash with full compliment of Vintage VDO gauges.- Speedo, fuel, volts, oil pressure, water. Leather wrapped steering wheel mounted on tilt column. B&M shifter.

All gauges function-however fuel gauge fluctuates. Horn, lights, and signals function. Overhead interior light and kick panel mounted courtesy lights. There is even an additional Power Point receptacle in the dash, enabling you to plug in a cell phone or lap top. The cockpit is designed to fit any size driver.

Drivetrain- Built for cruising. Dependable 305 cu. In. Chevy engine with retro modifications. Holley 600 CFM carb mounted on vintage Weiand aluminum intake manifold. Nostalgic finned valve covers. Chrome alternator. Aluminum water pump. Accel distributor and coil. Mr Gasket headers.

- Mr Gasket header extensions with internal mufflers. Turbo 350 automatic transmission. 9″ ford rear differential. Boxed and channeled 2″x4″ frame. Mono leaf, split wishbone straight axle front suspension. Front disc brakes. Rack and pinion steering. Ladder bar rear suspension with new air shocks. Rear drum brakes.
